I was born and raised in Kerman, a smaller historical city in Iran's Kerman province. At 17 I moved to Tehran to study computer engineering, and a few years after that, immigrated to the US for graduate school. That was two years, on paper. What it actually started was much longer.
The ten years after that were spent building things in tech. Quietly, in parallel, I was going through years of therapy, trying to find my way back to myself. Somewhere in the overlap of those two timelines, it became clear which one was actually the work. I'm switching to psychology.
Getting here has meant a lot of learning: about the psychology of the brain, about different cultures and identities, about what stays and what changes in a person as they cross enough borders. Years of traveling, mostly in service of that same learning.
Now I'm ready to help other people do some of that work themselves: finding who they are, and learning to navigate a life and an upbringing that isn't always built to make that easy. I believe everyone deserves a life they can actually thrive in. And I believe that when something feels hard, that difficulty deserves real exploration, not dismissal, whether it turns out to be an unknown childhood event, a skill nobody ever taught you, or a systemic blocker that just needs some psychoeducation to name.
None of this feels separate to me: the writing, the things I build, the art. It's the same attention, pointed in a few different directions.
